Shopping There is a very large, weekly market, which is well worth a visit. The market is held on a Saturday, and takes about 5 -10 mins on the local dolmus(local minibus). The main shopping centre is in Dolphin Square, and there are also many shops on the seafront. Most of the shops are open until late, with many bargains to be gained as long as you are willing to haggle with the shop keepers. It's all part of the enjoyment! There are two main supermarkets for daily provisions, Gima and Migros. Gima is located between the seafront and the town centre and Migros at the start of the town centre.

Beaches Altinkum (translated means "golden sands") has three fine beaches, with shallow clear water making it perfect for children and families. A range of watersports are available including scuba diving, "banana" boats, pedaloes, sailing etc.

Boat Trips The local port is at Didim marina and from here you can take the ferry to KOS and Istanbul. There are also many small boats that can take you on tours, or to local cities like Bodrum.

Bodrum Visit the lively tourist resort of Bodrum by day or night! It offers a multitude of things to enjoy; the castle, the marina and many bars, restaurants and shops. Or take a night trip, departing from Altinkum in the evenings, and really experience the buzz and atmosphere of the bars and nightclubs!

WaterPark Adaland the biggest water park in Europe is about an hours drive. This includes an Aqua Park, Dolphin Park and Sea Park with a wide range of activities to keep all the family entertained. There is also a smaller waterpark just outside Altinkum, about 15 mins by local bus. www.adaland.com

Temple of Apollo Altinkum is around 15 minute drive from the temple of Apollo which is a beautiful historical attraction in Didim.

Night Life After the sun sets over the Aegean, the bars and restaurants come to life. The harbour and Dolphine square, lined with lively venues, are a popular choice for holiday makers with something for everyone to enjoy. Visit the Dolphine/Cafe Bar that has a play area, playstations,internet access and live entertainment. The Swan Bar has very friendly waiters and the atmosphere is amazing with various acts for example break dancing and belly dancing.
